Westgate College
Westgate College was established in 1978 as the post-16 department of The Royal School for Deaf Children Margate. We are a non-maintained day and residential specialist College for learners aged 16 -22 who are deaf or have associated communication difficulties. Most of our learners have additional educational, emotional/behavioural or medical problems.
Both the school and Westgate College are situated on a large site in the centre of Margate. Our facilities include classrooms, technology centre incorporating IT, Art Design and Technology, swimming pool, fully equipped medical centre, sensory room, specialist therapy rooms and extensive grounds and an all weather sports pitch.

- We aim to support learners to realise achievable goals and ambitions for the future.
- We treat every learner as an individual.
Westgate College
Our residential accommodation is on our College site, within the local community and in the village of Westgate. This enables each learner’s needs to be catered for in a setting that offers appropriate levels of support whilst moving towards independence whilst learners are at college.
