Special educational needs
The College’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy is designed to ensure a clear and effective match between the needs of the learners and provision both in college and residential settings. Learner progress is closely monitored through the college’s Assessment Policy and Annual Review arrangements.
Staff will produce a range of plans to focus on learners’ needs and development throughout the year. All plans are reviewed regularly and some form the basis for our Annual Reports to parents. Plans can include:
- Individual Learning Plan (ILP) – educational targets
- Individual Target Plan (ITP) – life skills targets
- Individual Behaviour Management Plan (IBMP) – behavioural targets
